Hosted by those with gratitude for our nation. Celebrate the spirit of America 250 with an unforgettable evening on Southport’s waterfront, where history, food, and music come together. This special Colonial Food & History event invites guests to step back in time and experience the flavors and traditions that shaped early America.

Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated, colonial-inspired buffet designed by historian Desiree Bridge, while engaging presentations throughout the evening bring the past to life. Desiree will be joined by historians Jim McKee and John Bennett, who will lead a lively and informative discussion exploring the ingredients, cooking methods, cultural influences, and music of colonial America. Discover how food connected communities, reflected social customs, and even played a role in the colonists’ fight for independence.

Set against the scenic backdrop of downtown Southport, this immersive experience blends history and hospitality in a fun, engaging atmosphere. Perfect for history enthusiasts, food lovers, and anyone looking to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary in a unique and meaningful way, this intimate event offers a rich journey into the past.
